At D.K. Brede Investment Management Company, Inc., each member of our staff is an experienced professional dedicated to getting to know you on a personal level, to helping you achieve your long-term financial goals, and to treating you in a way that we, ourselves, would like to be treated.

Nathan Baldwin, CFA, CFP®

Director of Financial Planning

Nathan joined D.K. Brede Investment Management in September 1998. He currently holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities registrations (through Commonwealth Financial Network®). He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Nathan supports Debra Brede in all facets of the wealth management process, including, but not limited to:

  • Financial planning, including retirement income planning and projections
  • Investment research and analysis
  • Client portfolio analysis (evaluation of account diversification, risk exposure, client stability, etc.)
  • Portfolio management (the implementation, monitoring, and rebalancing of portfolios according to parameters agreed upon by Debra Brede and her clients)
  • Performance reporting and analysis
  • Client reviews
  • Maintaining relationships with clients by answering questions and solving problems

Chanel Gullage

Registered Wealth Management Associate/Operations Manager

Chanel joined D.K. Brede Investment Management in November 2006. She holds FINRA Series 24, 7, 55, 63, and 66 securities registrations (through Commonwealth Financial Network) and has her health, life, and variable producer license. Prior to joining our team, Chanel worked at Adams, Harkness & Hill, where she began her career as an operations specialist and was promoted to a Nasdaq trader. Chanel worked full-time and attended night classes at Northeastern University, earning her BS in business management in 2004. As our registered wealth management associate/operations manager, Chanel's expertise and extensive industry knowledge enable her to support Debra Brede in all facets of the investment planning process and manage a multitude of operations services, including, but not limited to:

  • Investment performance research and analysis
  • Client review and meeting preparation: generating reports, managing preliminary groundwork for meetings
  • Client transactions, including trades, exchanges, disbursements, and additions
  • Primary point of contact for insurance and annuities
  • Maintaining relationships with clients by answering questions and solving problems

Jeff Beshansky

Client Relations Manager

Jeff joined D.K. Brede Investment Management in November 2006. Prior to joining our team, Jeff worked at Putnam Investments as a 529 client services specialist and as a fixed income institutional sales assistant at Evergreen Investments. He graduated from college in 2003, earning a BS in business administration with a minor in political science from University of New Hampshire. As our client relations manager, his expertise and industry knowledge enable him to manage a multitude of operations and customer-based services, including:

  • Establishing client relationships by handling all necessary paperwork and addressing client questions and concerns
  • Proactive client account maintenance to ensure that clients' accounts are in order
  • Handling all client service needs, such as check requests, changes of address, wire instructions, transfers, and so forth
  • Client review and meeting preparation: generating reports, managing preliminary groundwork for meetings
  • Conducting research for funds, stocks, and other financial products
  • Maintaining relationships with clients by answering questions and solving problems
  • Scheduling consultations and meetings

Joseph Gauvin, MBA

Trader

Joseph joined D.K. Brede Investment Management in October 2012. Prior to joining our team, Joseph worked as an account resolution specialist at the Bank of New York Mellon. He earned his MBA at Framingham State University and his BS from the University of Tennessee. In addition to his education, he also holds FINRA Series 7, 24, and 66 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network.

In addition to trading, Joseph supports Debra Brede in all facets of the wealth management process, including, but not limited to:

  • Investment performance research and analysis
  • Handling all client service needs, such as trades, check requests, wire instructions, transfers, and so forth
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with clients by answering questions and solving problems

Jesse Danielson

Jesse joined D.K. Brede Investment Management in May 2015. Prior to joining our team, Jesse attended Wheaton College and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He also holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network.

Jesse’s expertise and industry knowledge allow him to handle many tasks, including, but not limited to:

  • Handling all client service needs, such as check requests, changes of address, wire instructions, transfers, and so forth
  • Conducting research for funds, stocks, and other financial products
  • Assisting in financial planning and 401(k) implementation
  • Maintaining relationships with clients by answering questions and solving problems

Karen Perkuhn

Karen joined D.K. Brede Investment Management in September 2012. Prior to joining our team, Karen worked at Malaspina Communications, a financial communications firm in Needham, Massachusetts, as an editorial assistant and project manager. She graduated from Hartwick College with a BA in Spanish and Hispanic studies.

As a member of the team, Karen handles various operations and customer-based services, including:

  • Proactive client account maintenance to ensure that clients' accounts are in order
  • Handling all client service needs, such as check requests, changes of address, wire instructions, transfers, and so forth
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with clients by handling all necessary paperwork, answering questions and solving problems
  • Scheduling consultations and meetings 

Kerry Ciapciak

Kerry joined D.K. Brede Investment Management in January 2014. Prior to joining our team, Kerry was a public relations specialist at Sun Life Financial in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Her career in public relations includes positions as media relations director at Graham Communications and public relations director at Massachusetts Respiratory Hospital. A graduate of Stonehill College, she earned a BS in business administration with a minor in communications. Kerry is also a licensed real estate agent in Massachusetts. 

As a member of the team, Kerry handles various customer-based services, including:

  • Client review and meeting preparation: generating reports, managing preliminary groundwork for meetings
  • Conducting research for funds, stocks, and other financial products
  • Maintaining relationships with clients by answering questions and solving problems
  • Scheduling consultations and meetings

Derek Thisse

Derek joined D.K. Brede Investment Management in August 2016. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an option in finance from the University of New Hampshire (UNH) in 2016. While attending UNH, Derek had an internship at Merrill Lynch working as an assistant. He also holds FINRA Series 7 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network.

As a member of the team, Derek provides operations and customer-based services, including:

  • Handling all client service needs, such as check requests, changes of address, wire instructions, transfers, and so forth
  • Conducting research for funds, stocks, and other financial products
  • Maintaining relationships with clients by answering questions and solving problems

Lynne Guhman

Lynne, a long-time D.K. Brede Investment Management employee, is currently on sabbatical in India. In 2000, after several short-term visits to India, she became convinced that we can and must help the suffering in the Third World. She began work with her first orphanage at that time.

Lynne founded Agape International in 2003 to respond to the tremendous need she saw all around her. Agape currently operates in India; future plans include expansion elsewhere in Asia, including Thailand and Cambodia.
