At D.K. Brede Investment Management Company, each member of our staff is an experienced professional dedicated to getting to know you on a personal level, to help you achieve your long-term financial goals, and to treat you in a way that we, ourselves, would like to be treated.

Nathan Baldwin, CFA®, CFP®

Nathan joined D.K. Brede Investment Management in September 1998. He currently holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network®. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a Chartered Financial Analyst®.

Nathan supports Debra Brede in all facets of the wealth management process, including, but not limited to:

  • Financial planning, including retirement income planning and projections
  • Investment research and analysis
  • Client portfolio analysis (evaluation of account diversification, risk exposure, client stability, etc.)
  • Portfolio management (the implementation, monitoring, and rebalancing of portfolios according to parameters agreed upon by Debra Brede and her clients)
  • Performance reporting and analysis
  • Client reviews
  • Client relationship management through answering questions and solving problems

Jeff Beshansky

Client Relations Manager

Jeff joined D.K. Brede Investment Management in November 2006. Prior to joining our team, Jeff worked at Putnam Investments as a 529 client services specialist and as a fixed income institutional sales assistant at Evergreen Investments. He graduated from college in 2003, earning a BS in business administration with a minor in political science from the University of New Hampshire. As our client relations manager, his expertise and industry knowledge enable him to manage a multitude of operations and customer-based services, including:

  • Establishing client relationships by overseeing all necessary paperwork and addressing client questions and concerns
  • Providing proactive client account maintenance to ensure that clients' accounts are in order
  • Handling all client service needs, including required minimum distribution calculations, charitable donations, retitling of assets, retirement plan transfers, and cost basis analysis
  • Acting as a liaison for new client transitions
  • Conducting research for funds, stocks, and other financial products
  • Maintaining relationships with clients by answering questions and solving problems

Joseph Gauvin, CFP®, MBA

CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™
Registered Wealth Management Associate

Joseph joined D.K. Brede Investment Management in October 2012. Prior to joining our team, Joseph worked as an account resolution specialist at the Bank of New York Mellon. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.

In addition to holding his FINRA Series 7, 24, and 66 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network®,   He also earned his MBA at Framingham State University and BS from the University of Tennessee.

Joseph supports Debra Brede in all facets of the wealth management process, including, but not limited to:

  • Financial planning, including retirement income planning and projections.
  • Portfolio management (the implementation, monitoring, and rebalancing of portfolios according to parameters agreed upon by Debra Brede and her clients)
  • Performing investment research and analysis
  • Handling all client transactions, such as trades involving buying and selling securities
  • Maintaining relationships with clients by answering questions and solving problems
  • Conducting client review meetings

Karen Perkuhn

Client Service Assistant

Karen joined D.K. Brede Investment Management in September 2012. Prior to joining our team, Karen worked at Malaspina Communications, a financial communications firm in Needham, Massachusetts, as an editorial assistant and project manager. She graduated from Hartwick College with a BA in Spanish and Hispanic studies.

As a member of the team, Karen handles various operations and customer-based services, including:

  • Providing proactive client account maintenance to ensure that clients' accounts are in order
  • Handling client service needs, such as new account paperwork, incoming transfer of assets paperwork, updating contact information and address changes, and updating client beneficiary data
  • Scheduling consultations and meetings 

Kerry Ciapciak

Client Service Assistant

Kerry joined D.K. Brede Investment Management in January 2014. Prior to joining our team, Kerry was a public relations specialist at Sun Life Financial in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Her career in public relations includes positions as media relations director at Graham Communications and public relations director at Massachusetts Respiratory Hospital. A graduate of Stonehill College, she earned a BS in business administration with a minor in communications. Kerry is also a licensed real estate agent in Massachusetts. 

As a member of the team, Kerry handles various customer-based services, including:

  • Handling client review and meeting preparation: generating reports, managing preliminary groundwork for meetings
  • Conducting research for funds, stocks, and other financial products
  • Maintaining relationships with clients by answering questions and solving problems
  • Scheduling consultations and meetings

Derek Thisse

Registered Assistant
Client Service Specialist

Derek joined D.K. Brede Investment Management in August 2016. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an option in finance from the University of New Hampshire (UNH) in 2016. While attending UNH, Derek had an internship at Merrill Lynch working as an assistant. He also holds FINRA Series 7 securities registration through Commonwealth Financial Network®.

As a member of the team, Derek provides operations and customer-based services, including:

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with clients by handling all necessary paperwork, answering questions, and solving problems
  • Handling all client service needs, such as check requests, changes of address, wire instructions, transfers, and so forth
  • Providing proactive client account maintenance to ensure that clients' accounts are in order
  • Handling client review and meeting preparation: generating reports, managing preliminary groundwork for meetings
  • Conducting research for funds, stocks, and other financial products
  • Scheduling consultations and meetings

Gavin Davis

Client Service Specialist

Gavin joined D.K. Brede Investment Management as an intern in December 2014 while earning a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Political Science at St. Lawrence University. After earning his degree, Gavin went on to work for a gubernatorial campaign as a Finance Coordinator before rejoining the D.K. Brede team in June of 2019.

As a member of the team, Gavin provides operations and customer-based services including:

  • Conducting research for funds, stocks, and other financial products
  • Assisting with preparation for client reviews and meetings
  • Generating reports, managing preliminary groundwork for meetings
  • Maintaining relationships with clients by answering questions and solving problems

 

Noreen Snow

Client Service Specialist

Noreen joined D.K. Brede Investment Management in June 2019. She studied Criminal Justice at Castleton University.   Prior to joining our team Noreen worked in Special Education in the Merrimack NH School district. Her career includes positions as a Branch Office Administrator with Edward Jones and 401K Specialist with Fidelity Investments. 

As a member of the team, Noreen provides customer-based services, including:

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with clients by handling all necessary paperwork and addressing client questions and concerns
  • Providing proactive client account maintenance to ensure that clients' accounts are in order
  • Assisting with meeting preparation by generating reports
  • Handling client service needs, such as check requests, changes of address, wire instructions, and transfers.
  • Conducting research for funds, stocks, and other financial products
  • Scheduling consultations and meetings

 

Melanie Palmer

Client Service Assistant

Melanie joined D.K. Brede Investment Management in May 2019.  Prior to joining our team, she provided executive assistance to a Million Dollar Roundtable team at Northwestern Mutual for thirteen years, nine of which was as Director of Policyowner Services.  Additionally, Melanie has overseen annual corporate events and administration for charitable organizations. 

As a member of the team, Melanie assists with:

  • Supporting team members who handle client service needs
  • Generating reports for team member review
  • Conducting research for funds, stocks, and other financial products

 

Chanel Gullage

Operations Manager
Registered Wealth Management Associate

Chanel joined D.K. Brede Investment Management in November 2006. She holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 55, 63, and 66 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network® and has her Accident and Health or Sickness, Life, Variable Life and Variable Annuity Products, Property, Casualty Producer License. Prior to joining our team, Chanel worked at Adams, Harkness & Hill, where she began her career as an operations specialist and was promoted to a Nasdaq trader. Chanel worked full-time and attended night classes at Northeastern University, earning her BS in business management in 2004. As our registered wealth management associate and operations manager, Chanel's expertise and extensive industry knowledge enable her to support Debra Brede in all facets of the investment planning process and manage a multitude of operations services, including, but not limited to:

  • Performing Investment research and analysis
  • Handling client review and meeting preparation: generating reports, managing preliminary groundwork for meetings
  • Processing client transactions, including trades, exchanges, disbursements, and additions
  • Acting as a primary point of contact for insurance and annuities
  • Maintaining relationships with clients by answering questions and solving problems
  • Conducting client review meetings
